I once read that one of the luckiest names to have if you are a bingo player is Margaret, but it seems that the Margarets’ are taking a back seat from the Lucy’s today.
We have seen two Lucky Lucy’s, the first an online bingo winner from London and the second a land based bingo player who walked away from her local Mecca Bingo Club in Halifax £100,000 richer than when she arrived.
Lucy Jones is a thirty-seven year old mother of two and unlike our first sensibly Lucy, this one just wants to spend, spend, spend. Can’t say I blame her though, sometimes it is nice to be able to just once in your life buy exactly what you please.
This Lucky Lucy has been a member of the Mecca Bingo in Halifax for more than five years and has never won any really significant prize money, but it seems that her loyalty and patience has paid off and she has become one of Mecca Bingo’s really big winners.
She said that her husband doesn’t believe her bingo win, but as soon as she shows him the cheque he will, and if her plans come about and she spends some of her winnings on a holiday to Cuba, I am sure it will all be real to him when he is sipping a Cuba Libra on a beach in Havana.
