Bingo Lingo

There are all kinds of different bingo lingo, and in the old days bingo lingo was confined to the “bingo speak” of a caller in the bingo club, but times have changed and although, nicknames for bingo callers are still used in some instances, they are often frowned upon in professional bingo halls because of the fact that using them can make the bingo winning number ambiguous.

Today though, with the advent of online bingo, a new bingo lingo has sprung up. This is not the way the number eighty-eight is called as two fat ladies, but is a kind of abbreviated languages that is used by online bingo players in chat rooms. This kind of bingo lingo can be described as bingo shorthand that enables you to make friends and chat quickly between or during games.

If you are new to online bingo it might seem that your chat room mates are speaking a foreign language to you, they are not and here are a couple of examples that you might come across, memorise them, they are easy and at least you will know what they are talking about :

  • AFK2W means – away from the keyboard to wee.
  • LMAO means – laughing my ass off
  • BLNT means – better luck next time
