Google Takes a New View of Online Bingo and Gaming Advertising Revenue

Google seems to have had a turnaround regarding their policy of not allowing online bingo and gaming advertising. This rather dramatic situation appears to be as a result of the present economic climate in UK, in fact the same situation applies to the rest of the world too. Large advertisers have had to tighten their belts and some have cut their advertising budgets by as much as half.

Another Bingo Hall in Ireland is Under threat

If it is not bad enough that bingo halls in the UK are closing down, it is sad to see that this is also a regular occurrence in Ireland. Now another bingo hall in Ireland is being eyed by developers with envious eyes, who want to demolish it and turn it into a site for apartments, shops and a medical centre. They have already filed a planning application to Dublin City Council and are awaiting the out come of this.

Wink Bingo Attracts the Attention of ASA

The Advertising Standards Authority has been very prominent in bingo advertising news in recent times, and the latest online bingo site to attract their attention has been Wink Bingo. The National press advert depicts a nurse at work in a maternity ward, and she is celebrating her bingo win. Behind her is a man holding a teddy bear and looking surprised while a woman is lying in bed under a sign that reads “Maternity Unit”. The nurse is next to a trolley, holding surgical equipment and a laptop. The laptop reads “Wink Bingo Winner”.
