The first was a sixty seven year old pensioner who won more than ₤26 000, made up of the National prize of ₤25 000, the Regional prize of ₤1 855 and a house prize of ₤60 after she completed her full house in forty two calls.
This winner is married and has been playing bingo for twenty five years, she says that she is still a bit “dumbfounded” by her luck. She is retired and says the money will come in really handy. She also said that they will probably be able to take a few more holidays than they expected they would be able to. She also has a friend that she plays bingo with and will be sharing the winnings 50/50 with her. She said that winning this kind of money is something that one always dreams about but never expects to happen. Well it just goes to show that dreams do come true sometimes, particularly for this winner.
