A seventy year old Great-Gran from Luton is anticipating treating her family with her bingo winnings of more than ₤10 000. The woman is a widow with nine children, twenty grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, so she has a lot of people to treat with that money, fortunately for her ₤10 000 can go a long way.
The lucky lady has been playing bingo for many years, in fact, more than forty years, but hadn’t played for seven months. However while she was playing at the Mecca Bingo Club in Skimpot Road she won the Afternoon Delight game after calling full-house in forty-two numbers. She won the National prize of ₤9 690, the Regional of ₤1 076 and a house prize of ₤56.
She said that never in her life has she had this much money, and that when you haven’t got money you can think of all kinds of things to spend it on, but when you have the money, you have no idea what to spend it on. Her intention is to treat her family, she doesn’t fancy a holiday as she likes her own bed and she will get far more pleasure out of treating her family.
