A sixty-seven year old man from Blackpool recently went home richer by more than £20,000 after playing bingo at the Mecca Bingo Club in Talbot Road.
He walked away with the National Bingo prize of £19,145 and a Regional prize of £1 005 as well as the house prize of £336, not too shabby a prize I would say. He had to share the National prize of £38,830 with another bingo player who was in Clydebank, Scotland. Both players called full house in forty-six numbers.
The lucky bingo playing gent has been a member at the Mecca Club for three years, and I know that usually everyone is in some kind of shock when they receive a prize of this magnitude, but this chappie was so much in shock, that with all the cheering and congratulating going on from all the members in the club, the Duty Manager of the club had to report that all he had to say was “thank you!” So we have no idea what he is going to do with the money and I am sorry to say, we also know very little about the fortunate gentleman.
